Monday, February 4, 2013January 31 Annual Meeting
Unfortunately there were not enough attendees or received proxies to reach
quorum. We will attempt a second meeting by emailing and sending out
notices with a new date and time. Please look for the new date soon, as it will likely occur in late February or early March.
While an official meeting did not occur, the HOA board was able to hear from many owners and will be acting on many of your requests. In the meantime, if you are a homeowner and wish to submit your name for one of two open positions on the board, please email Omah Williams, HOA corresponding secretary, owillia2@gmail.com. Currently, there are 2 people on the ballot. Please check your mailer for their names. Best, 2001 Bering Drive HOA Crime Notice
Owners and Residents:
Please be informed that Sunday night, February 3, 2013, a home owner was was held up at gun point. He called the police and filed a report. 1. Be observant and call 911 immediately. 2. Watch carefully to make sure no one is following you. 3. Be cautious and observant. Especially at night when walking from the parking area to your unit. 4. Always call the police if you believe someone is trespassing on the property. Remember: The HOA and the property management company, Prestige Property Management, cannot be held responsible for vandalism nor ensure your safety. It is up to you. It is important that you always notify the board and the property management company about incidents like this so that we can all stay informed of what is going on around us. Your cooperation is appreciated by everyone. Thursday, January 17, 2013Burglary and broken exit gates
On Tuesday, January 15, a resident came home from work and found
her door had been kicked in and items were missing. It happened
sometime during the day; at the time, gates where not broken so they must have
followed someone in. Tish, the property manager, will check the tape on cameras to see if we
can get license plate, etc.
Residents, please be
aware of your surroundings and close your blinds while away to deter thieves. Your personal security is not the responsibility of the Association. We can, as residents, be neighborly and report suspicious activity to the property management and the police. Also, be sure to turn on your car alarm (if you have one) and do not leave valuables
in your car. Locking your car doors and securing your dwelling with an alarm could deter thieves as well.
Today, January 17, a resident found the exit gates to the property had been pushed open and off the track. Maintenance requests have been issued and tapes will be reviewed to help police locate the vandals. If additional problems occur, Tish may be reached via email,
